Want to Offer Superior Back Massages? – régime cohen – regime cohen
Most menn and women like getting a massage but very few people feel comfortable providing a massage to someone else. We’re afraid of unintentionally causing hurt to the other person. We are scared that we might not help enough. We’re worried that other people will dislike what we are doing. You will be happy to hear that any person can learn how to give an amazing massage every time they want to do just that. The following are some tips on how to give an awesome back massage.
It is important that the person be comfortable while lying down. The surface on which they are on has to be firm but soft. While you don’t don’t have a massage table, you could try them on the bed. If they are lying on the floor, place a few soft blankets, towels or a mat so that the person will feel better. If the person wishes to keep his or her shirt on, be sure that it is of a soft material so there will be less friction and itching.
Start out with a few standard rubbing. Using the enture flat side of your hands, rub slowly up from the base of the back toward the neck. Put a bit of pressure into this but don’t apply full massage pressure just yet. Begin at the base of the back and glide your hands upwards, along either side of the backbone toward the neck then across the shoulders and back down the back. Try making the loops smaller as you do this step again so that the whole back can get relaxed.
You can generate good and direct pressure when you try using the heels of your hands. Work the heels of your palms in tiny circles beginning in the middle of the base of the back and then working out toward the sides and then upwards and back in until you’ve massaged the whole back.
Try to sit on one side of the person who is receiving your massage. Then, having one hand on top of yor other hand, push into the back using your fingers. Begin with the backbone and thrust steadily away from the backbone, across your back and then very lightly rub your hands back toward the backbone. Do this step again as you move upward along the person’s back and then repeat on the other side of the person’s back.
Knead the backbone. Beginning with the base of the spinal column, work your way up each of the sausage like muscular tissues on either side of the backbone by rubbing in small circles with a couple of fingers or your thumbs. Rub each tiny node at least five times to generate some friction before moving on to the next. Rub your way all the way up one side of the back and then repeat the process on the other side of the spine.
It is important as well to relax the person repeatedly between each section of the massage that you are giving. For instance, after applying one technique, do the basic rub we talked about at the beginning of the article for several minutes.
I have heartburn and find myself unconciously avoiding the foods that make me feel bad. I haven’t been able to find any recipes worth making in other books and websites. They’re either boring or just not appetizing. I just bought this book, but it’s easy to follow and actually lists foods I should avoid and tells me about other treatments besides medication (which I hate to take). So far I’ve tried only one of the recipes (oven fried chicken), but it was delicious. Even my husband (who does not have heartburn) loved it, as did my two kids. If the other recipes are this good, this book will find a permanent place in my kitchen!
Excellent background information on regime cohen. One of the most complete descriptions and reasons why certain foods cause problems. However, I was very disappointed with the recipe section. I was expecting recipes for dishes that did not include foods that can cause heartburn. Instead, there were very common recipes, many containing several ingredients that GERD suffers should avoid, with instructions such as “if you have problems with onions, leave it out…” How helpful is that, really!?
I just received this book from Amazon.com and have already tried a few of the recipes using régime cohen. The Grilled Lamb chops with cucumber relish was excellent. Another benefit is that all the recipes seem to be low in fat! I’ll be showing this book to my allergist and ENT specialist!
I found this book to be fairly helpful. The recipies are ok with some helpful hints. One recomendation I feel should be included that has helped me beyond expectations is the use of a incline pillow called the Prop-Up Pillow (www.propuppillow.com). Anyone suffering from acid reflux should consider this pillow. It is made from NASA memory foam and is by far the most comfortable on the market. Eat right and use this pillow.
